Duo Zito-Kusik

After attending several conventions of the Classical Mandolin Society of America, Jackie Zito and Miles Kusik founded the Kalamazoo Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra. In addition to this ensemble they also perform as a classical guitar duo and as a classical mandolin and guitar duo. Their repertoire spans from renaissance and classical to modern. They have performed at colleges, concert series, art galleries, corporate, and private functions. They also provide music for wedding services and special events. Duo Zito-Kusik received scholarships to study classical guitar in Savigliano, Italy at the Corsi Internazionali di Perfezionamento di Chitarra.

In 1992, Miles and Jackie along with KMGO member John Hosley formed the Third Coast Guitar Trio which performs a wide variety of music from classical to Latin American. They were honored to premiere "Airs and Rounds" by Kalamazoo College Music Professor Emeritus Lawrence Rackley Smith. Third Coast Guitar Trio is frequently joined by fellow KMGO member Sharon Soltesz to form Third Coast Guitar Ensemble.

Miles currently maintains a teaching studio at the Crescendo Academy of Music and is the classical guitar instructor for Kalamazoo College.
